" New specifications by HONDA "
HONDA in its latest models from 2011 onwards, has introduced a new lubricant for DW-1 automatic transmissions that replaces the previous Z-1 lubricant.
The DW-1 is a synthetic lubricant instead of a conventional base that was the Z-1 and this allowed HONDA to make it thinner to work better at lower temperatures. Additionally, as a synthetic it has more strength and therefore the lubricant changes are now more sparse.
It can be used in all previous transmissions called Z-1, and may be mixed in any ratio with it, if necessary, for a supplement, that is.
The Kuttenkeuler Comcor ATF-VI complies with the new HONDA specifications and is available in 4 and 20 liter containers, and will be available in 1 liter and 60-liter containers at a later stage.
